Blanket Bay is pleased to announce Corey Hume as Executive Chef

Born, raised and initially trained in Christchurch, Corey has cooked in some of New Zealand's best fine dining restaurants. Deeply passionate about his craft, he also champions distinctly New Zealand cuisine.

Corey has won numerous culinary awards and has represented both New Zealand and Australia in cooking since a young age. He is a founding member of the New Zealand Culinary Team, and was the first New Zealand chef  to be invited to join the Australian National Culinary Olympic Team. He is also a Ambassador for the World Association of Chef's Societies for the Pacific Region.

Corey recently returned from two years overseas where he spent 15 months as a senior member of the opening team of what is now a very successful hotel within the Middle East.

"I love the possibilities that the joy of food can bring to people in their daily lives", states Corey. As a guest of Blanket Bay you can experience the joy of Corey's fine New Zealand cuisine.
